As we progress further into single cable connectivity, we are demanding for all our devices to be able to do more than they did in the previous generation. CalDigit has been leading the way with laptop charging when it comes to docking solutions and we are now adding that great functionality to our storage devices. |

Connect Your USB Accessories We’re all running out of ports, especially in the world of Thunderbolt™ 3. It just makes sense to add ports wherever possible to maximize your laptop’s connectivity options. The AV Pro 2 does that by adding two USB 3.0 Hub ports to the back of the device. This means that you can add any USB device to your laptop as you would if you were directly attaching the device to your laptop via USB. As you can see from the image below we have the CalDigit Tuff drive connected to the AV Pro 2 via the USB 3.0 hub. |

Back Up Your Files Down to its core, the AV Pro 2 is a storage device. Built on the original AV Pro’s design aesthetic which adds a removable drive, the AV Pro 2 packs high storage capacities with great functionality. Traditional single-drive storage solutions do not have a removable drive design. Their hard drive is locked into the device and difficult to remove. The AV Pro 2’s removable drive allows users the freedom to upgrade and expand their storage. |

Anyone Can Use It |

The AV Pro 2 features two ways to connect the device to a laptop; USB-C and USB 3.0 Type-A. This means that if you’re using Thunderbolt™ 3 or USB-C you can utilize the Type-C port. If you are not yet using Thunderbolt™ 3 or USB-C you can still connect the device to any USB 3.0 port. Charging functionality is restricted to Thunderbolt™ 3 and USB-C as power delivery is only available through the Type-C connection. |

Choose Your Drive Type Regardless of whether you need 3.5” HDDs for higher capacity or ultra-fast SSDs for the best performance, the AV Pro 2 has you covered. Available in capacities up to 6TB with a 3.5” HDD and 2TB with an SSD, the AV Pro 2 is extremely versatile. You can even buy a 3.5” HDD version and upgrade to an SSD in the future. |
