Yes, the USB-C Adapter connects to a USB-C computer and then to either HDMI or VGA. In addition to that, your USB-C computer or smart phone must support Type-C 'Alternate Mode' to enable DisplayPort capabilities over the Type-C channel, so that HDMI or VGA video signal can be carried to the monitor through this USB-C adapter.

2. Do I need a USB-C computer to connect the USB-C Adapter?

Yes, the USB-C Adapter connects to a USB-C computer and then to either HDMI or VGA.

3. Can I use a computer with USB Type-A?

No, the USB-C Adapters use the latest USB Type-C connector. The Type-A connector cannot carry a video signal.

4. What platforms are the Adapters compatible with?

The USB-C Adapters are compatible with Mac, Windows and Chrome OS.

5. I have a computer with the latest Thunderbolt™ 3 connector. Can I use the USB-C Adapter?

Yes, Thunderbolt™ 3 uses the new Type-C connector and is compatible with the USB-C Adapters.

6. I have a computer with Thunderbolt™ 1 or 2. Are the USB-C Adapters compatible?

No. Thunderbolt™ 1 and 2 do not use the Type-C connector.

7. Do the USB-C Adapters include HDMI or VGA cables in the box?

No. HDMI and VGA cables need to be purchased separately.

8. Are there any drivers that need to be installed in order to use the USB-C Adapters?

No. The USB-C Adapters are Plug & Play.

9. What is the maximum resolution of the USB-C to HDMI Adapter?

4K@30Hz.

10. What is the maximum resolution of the USB-C to VGA Adapter?

2048 x 1152 @ 60Hz
