Products Affected:

|
CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 3 (TS3) and Lite (TS3 Lite) are capable of outputting 4K video through the DisplayPort on the back, but the actual frequency (Hz) may vary. Certain monitors may be limited to 4K@30Hz when connecting through DisplayPort interface. These monitors include but are not limited to the following models:
Asus PB287Q Dell P2715Q, S2817Q, P2415Q LG 31MU97C-B, 24UD58-B Philips 288P6LJE Viewsonic VX2475SMHL-4K
If you are unable to output 4K@60Hz video, please try the followings:
1. Disable DP 1.2 support using your monitor’s menu, which will set the display to 4K@30Hz
Some Dell 4K monitors can be switched to DP 1.1 mode by following the steps described in the "Confirm the DisplayPort (DP) configuration of the display." section. http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN296015/EN
2. Connect the monitor using a high quality DisplayPort cable that is 1 meter or shorter. 3. Connect the monitor to the Thunderbolt 3 port using a USB-C to DisplayPort or USB-C to HDMI dongle for 4K@60hz.
4. If none of above solutions works for you and you still have difficulty to output 4K@60Hz, please contact support@caldigit.com.
