How to start?

Please look for the serial number of the enclosure.

Where to check?


HDPro: 7 digits number on the back of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 3 years


HDOne: 7 digits number on the bottom of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 1 year


CalDigit RAIDCard: 7 digits number on the back of the card, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 1 year


HDElement: 7 digits number on the bottom of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 1 year


S2VRDuo: 7 digits number on the bottom of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 3 years


Firewire VR: 7 digits number on the bottom of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 2 years


S2VR HD: 7 digits number on the bottom of the enclosure, start with 500 or 300. (ie: 500XXXX)
Warranty Period: 3 years

Alternate locations: You should be able to found the serial number on varies locations, such as: original color box, original invoice, software application (like RAIDShield, RAIDTool, S2VR RAID configuration manager).

How does it work?

Compare your serial number with the following chart,

A.If your number is greater than the indicated date's serial number while remains in its warranty period, that means your product is still under warranty, and all standard warranty policies are applied. (For warranty policy, please check our Limited Warranty Terms)

B.If your number is smaller than the indicated date's serial number and exceed its warranty period, that means your product is no longer under warranty.

C.If your number is between the indicated date's serial number, please contact our support department to confirm.

For example: I have a CalDigit FirewireVR unit (Serial number: 5004725), that means the unit was sold in January 2008. My CalDigit FirewireVR carries a 2 years warranty period, and its warranty would remain effective until January 2010.
