How does the ThunderExpress Work?

The CalDigit HDPro, HDPro2, HDPro-24, and HDOne are based on PCIe technology. By using the native PCIe bus built into modern workstations, these arrays have been able to provide blazing performance with no latency or conversion needed. Thunderbolt also uses PCIe, meaning you only have to plug the CalDigit ePCIe cable into one end of the ThunderExpress and then the Thunderbolt cable into your Thunderbolt enabled computer. No additional setup is necessary.

ThunderExpress

No Longer Limited to the Desktop

One of he biggest advantages of Thunderbolt, is that it allows all Thunderbolt enabled computers to leverage high speed RAID systems. Now laptops, iMacs, and even Mac mini's can utilize the power and protection of CalDigit RAID's. The ThunderExpress is also compatible with any Mac, Windows PC or Linux computer that has the Thunderbolt port. With the power of a CalDigit RAID the ThunderExpress allows for faster speeds than other Thunderbolt RAIDs. Up to 100MB/s faster!
