CalDigit USB-C Dock is shipped with the default firmware which can support up to 4K @ 30Hz and USB 3.0 speed. If you want to support 4K @ 60Hz and USB 2.0 speed, you can obtain a firmware package by contacting: support@caldigit.com and run the firmware update from Windows machine. Below is the procedure:
  1. Connect USB-C Dock to your Windows machine. Go to "Device Manager" and make sure you have "Billboard Interface" in the list.

  2. Unzip the firmware package, and go to Folder: "/Special-Firmware", double click on "Update".

  3. Wait 2 minutes and you will see "END" message. Close the window and power cycle your USB-C Dock.

Note: A. If you do not have a Type-C Windows machine, you can obtain a Type-C to Type-A cable and update firmware through USB Type-A port on your Windows machine. B. To restore firmware back to 4K @ 30Hz and USB 3.0 speed, you can follow the same procedure but use the "Update" file located in "Default-Firmware". C.
