When trying to install new driver to your Mac OS, if your system crashes during installation, you can try the following solutions-
1. Eject and turn off all external devices.
2. Use Disk Utility to verify and repair OS drive permission, then restart OS. About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature
2. Use 3rd party software like, Disk Warrior, to rebuild the corrupted directory on the File System of your OS drive. Disk Warrior
3. Download and run the CalDigit Software Uninstaller, restart your OS, then try to install the new driver again. Download CalDigit Software Uninstaller
