JBOD mode 1 & 2 JBOD mode 1 is the current JBOD method, and JBOD mode 2 is the older method. If your JBOD drives was created prior Firmware 1.61, and you want to update your JBOD drives to the current method, please follow these steps: 1) change the VR enclosure to JBOD mode 2. 2) put in your old JBOD drive. 3) change the VR to JBOD mode 1. 4) recreate the JBOD under JBOD mode 1.
