Thunderbolt™ Station 3 Lite
As laptops such as the new 2016 MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt™ 3 offer unprecedented performance, the CalDigit Thunderbolt™ Station 3 Lite allows users to utilize one of their Thunderbolt™ 3 ports to attach extra peripheral devices. Thunderbolt™ 3 ports on the latest generation of Mac and Windows laptops offer enormous versatility and CalDigit's TS3 family of docks provides the connectivity of Thunderbolt™ devices, displays and USB devices through a single Thunderbolt™ port connection.

CalDigit knows that many users already have a way to charge their computers and don’t need a higher cost docking solution that offers charging. The TS3 Lite with a pre-order price of only $169.99 offers users the ability to add Thunderbolt™ 3 Type-C, DisplayPort, USB 3.1 Type-A, USB 3.1 Type-C, Gigabit Ethernet, and Audio In/Out via one single Thunderbolt™ 3 cable. If port expandability is the most important factor, the TS3 Lite offers a plethora of options.

By utilizing DisplayPort as the video output of choice on the TS3 Lite, users have the option of connecting any popular monitor through the use of a DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI cable. With a maximum resolution of 5K at 60Hz, the TS3 Lite offers incredible clarity for any workflow. It goes without saying that if you’re connecting a HD or 4K monitor you will get outstanding image quality. For users who need dual 4K monitors, they can connect a USB-C to HDMI adapter to the second Thunderbolt™ 3 port.

The USB 3.1 Type-A and Type-C ports are a great way for users to add iPhones, iPads, USB storage, and more to their laptop. The dual Thunderbolt™ 3 ports allow professional users the ability to daisy-chain high performance Thunderbolt™ 3 devices such as fast storage. In addition, the Thunderbolt™ 3 port supplies up to 15W of power to downstream devices.

Key Features
  • Support for up to dual 4K or single 5K monitors**
  • 2x Thunderbolt™ 3 ports with 40Gb/s and support for daisy-chain

  • Thunderbolt™ Station 3
The latest generation of laptops with Thunderbolt™ 3 such as the 2016 MacBook Pro, the Dell XPS 13 and HP Spectre x360 offer unprecedented performance.  The TS3 offers data, power and video through a single cable connection. The differentiating factor between the TS3 Lite and TS3 is the ability for the TS3 to charge up to 85W. No longer do users need to connect their laptop’s charger. One Thunderbolt™ 3 cable from the TS3 to a laptop will charge the computer, including the 2016 MacBook Pro. With a pre-order price of only $199.99 the TS3 is priced highly competitively.

Featuring dual Thunderbolt™ 3 Type-C, three USB 3.1 Type-A, DisplayPort, dual eSATA, Gigabit Ethernet and Audio In/Out, the TS3 features a host of connectivity options. The TS3’s ability to be used in a horizontal or vertical position allows users to choose how they display the device on their desk.

The two eSATA ports allow professional users the ability to add existing eSATA storage devices to their Thunderbolt™ 3 enabled computer.

Like the TS3 Lite, the TS3 can connect a monitor up to 5K resolution and features all the same functionality as the TS3 Lite.

Both the TS3 Lite and TS3 include high quality Thunderbolt™ 3 cables in the box.

"Thunderbolt™ 3 running at 40Gbps is the fastest connection to the PC, enabling new usages", said Jason Ziller, Director of Thunderbolt™ Marketing at Intel. "Products like CalDigit's TS3 and TS3 Lite help highlight what Thunderbolt™ 3 makes possible."
